Al-Mishri se reúne con los candidatos a liderazgo en Trípoli

Khalid Al-Mishri, cuya presidencia del Alto Consejo de Estado sigue en disputa con su rival Mohammed Takala, se reunió en Trípoli con varias personas que se postulan para el puesto de primer ministro en un nuevo gobierno.
Estos candidatos habían presentado previamente sus solicitudes y presentado sus visiones ante la Cámara de Representantes, según un comunicado de prensa del miembro del HCS Abu Al-Qasim Gzit.
Gzit afirmó que el proceso de selección y verificación de respaldos comenzaría a partir del 20 de julio y continuaría hasta el 24 de julio, señalando que los respaldos deben ser válidos y estar firmados por 10 miembros del Alto Consejo de Estado.
También señaló que en la reunión estuvieron presentes todos los candidatos o sus representantes excepto un candidato.
Entre los candidatos que asistieron a la reunión con Al-Mishri en Trípoli se encontraban el ex presidente de la Junta de Desarrollo Económico, Fadil Al-Amin, el Ministro del Interior del gobierno paralelo Issam Abu Zreiba, y los candidatos Abdel Hakim Baiyou, Abdel Karim Mgeg, Mohamed Al-Mazoughi, Mohamed Al-Muntasser y Ali Sassi.

Al-Mishri meets with leadership candidates in Tripoli

Khalid Al-Mishri, whose presidency of the High Council of State remains disputed from rival Mohammed Takala, met on Sunday in Tripoli with several individuals running for the position of prime minister in a new government.
These candidates had previously submitted their applications and presented their visions before the House of Representatives, according to a press statement by HCS member Abu Al-Qasim Gzit.
Gzit stated that the process of screening and verifying endorsements would begin as of July 20 and continue until 24 July, noting that the endorsements must be valid and signed by 10 members of the High Council of State.
He also pointed out that all candidates or their representatives were present at the meeting except for one candidate.
Among the candidates who attended the meeting with Al-Mishri in Tripoli were former Economic Development Board chairman Fadil Al-Amin, Interior Minister of the parallel government Issam Abu Zreiba, and candidates Abdel Hakim Baiyou, Abdel Karim Mgeg, Mohamed Al-Mazoughi, Mohamed Al-Muntasser, and Ali Sassi.
Local media outlets cited sources who attended the meeting as saying that Al-Mishri emphasized the candidacy process for the premiership does not contradict the UN mission’s roadmap. Rather, it aims to coordinate with it without preempting or undermining the UN’s plan, describing the meeting as “positive.”
The sources noted that the discussions were detailed, and an agreement was reached to verify the endorsements issued by the High Council of State for the candidates and forward them to the House of Representatives.
