Mohamed Jamil Derbah, asesor internacional y consejero especial del primer ministro de Guinea Bissau dio la bienvenida a Hanna Serwaa Tetteh como nueva representante especial para Libia de Naciones Unidas, a la vez que reiteró su apoyo a los esfuerzos de mediación de la ONU en el país norteafricano.
«Damos la bienvenida a Hanna Tetteh como nueva representante especial del Secretario General de las Naciones Unidas y jefa de la UNSMIL (Misión de Apoyo de las Naciones Unidas en Libia”, expresó el asesor presidencial. «Reiteramos el apoyo a los esfuerzos de mediación de las Naciones Unidas y su compromiso con una solución política sostenible a través de un diálogo interlibio inclusivo», agregó.
Derbah señaló que este es el sentido del gobierno libio de Bengasi de la mano de Khalifa Haftar, el cual tanto él como el primer ministro Osama Hammad expresan su satisfacción por el nombramiento de la ghanesa Hanna Serwaa Tetteh como la nueva representante especial para Libia, un cargo que ha sido ocupado por tres personas distintas en los últimos tres años y ha estado vacante durante largos periodos.
Derbah indicó que habrá total colaboración y sobre todo disposición para un nuevo escenario en Libia, con un marco adecuado para la celebración de elecciones presidenciales y la necesidad de tener un gobierno estable, decidido a llevar a Libia al camino de la paz y el desarrollo, principios en los que el gobierno de Bengasi lleva inmerso desde hace tiempo.
El asesor internacional recordó el trabajo de Stephanie Koury, como jefa de la Misión de Apoyo de las Naciones Unidas en Libia (Unsmil), la cual abordó con suma inteligencia l situación en Libia, dando el papel adecuado al gobierno de Bengasi al entender su búsqueda de diálogo, integración y de su huida de cualquier confrontación.
