El príncipe heredero de Arabia Saudí, Mohamed bin Salmán, celebró la contribución de su país “al desarrollo del fútbol en todo el mundo”, después de que la FIFA aprobara la concesión definitiva de la organización del Mundial 2034 a la candidatura única del reino árabe.“El príncipe heredero destacó la gran determinación de Arabia Saudí de contribuir eficazmente al desarrollo del fútbol en todo el mundo, y de difundir mensajes de amor, paz y tolerancia, armada con sus grandes capacidades”, según un comunicado de la Corte Real difundido por la agencia de noticias oficial SPA.

Cinco sedes y 15 estadios para el Mundial de 2034
El Mundial de Fútbol de 2034 contará con cinco sedes, 15 estadios, uno más del mínimo que pide el organismo, y con la incertidumbre de saber las fechas por las complicaciones del calendario y las condiciones meteorológicas.
Cinco serán las ciudades anfitrionas, Riad, Yeda, Al Khobar, Abha y Neom, siendo la primera de ellas la más poblada con 15 millones de habitantes, y la última, la futurista ciudad que se ubicará en la costa oeste.
El Internacional Rey Salman de Riad, con capacidad para 92.760 espectadores, será el estadio encargado de acoger el partido inaugural y la final.
